Operation of the Roly® Safeti-Gate is uncomplicated. There are no motors or electronics. As seen in the photos, the unit consists of a front and rear gate plus six fixed side rails, all supported by a heavy gauge box beam frame. The front and back gates are inter-connected with cables and counter-balanced by a pulley system and a torque shaft.

When one gate is up the other is down. It's that simple. To enter the loading area, a worker need only lift the (mezzanine side) gate. This automatically lowers the ledge gate. Operation is virtually effortless because counter-balancing allows fingertip control to do the work. Having raised the rear gate, a worker may enter and remove pallets or other material.

To make the workstation loading area accessible to ground floor material handling devices, the mezzanine worker steps outside the work station and lowers the rear gate. This automatically raises the ledge gate. Pallets can now be delivered, or removed, by fork lifts or other means. When one gate is up the other is down.

Used properly, the Roly® Safeti-Gate does not expose workers to an unprotected loading area. Work flow is enhanced through safety, not impeded. And no loading space is lost to conventional inward swinging security gates. Roly® Safeti-Gate meets OSHA requirements (toe board not included).
